A ten-day festival opening with flag-hoisting on Atham day in the Malayalam month of Meenam and closing with the deity's ceremonial bath, the Arattu, on Thiruvonam day, marked with Uthsavabali, Pallivetta and the Ambalapuzha Velakali martial dance.
