A directory kept by hand, given as a gift. Please treat it that way.

What Adisthan is

Adisthan is a free, reverent directory of sacred places of every tradition, operated by AdiDhara. It is offered as-is, in good faith, for devotees, custodians, and seekers. It is not a tourism product and carries no ads.

Using the directory

• Information is gathered from public sources and community contributions, reviewed by hand. We work hard on accuracy, but timings, festivals, and access details can change; confirm with the place before travelling.
• Do not scrape the site wholesale, misrepresent its content, or use it to disparage any tradition or community.
• Photographs carry their own licences (mostly Creative Commons, credited on the page); respect them.

Contributing

• When you submit a place, suggest an edit, or claim a role, you confirm your information is truthful and that you have the right to share it.
• You grant Adisthan a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to publish and adapt your contribution as part of the directory. Contributions of text are published under the directory's editorial voice after review.
• Nothing publishes without human review. Reviewers may edit, hold, or decline any contribution, especially where a site is sensitive or contested.
• Claiming a custodial role you do not hold, or uploading false documents, will end your access.

Custodians

Verified custodians steward their place's page. They agree to keep information accurate and respectful, and understand that their proposed changes take effect only after review, and that custodianship can be withdrawn if abused.

Sacred and contested places

Some places carry restrictions or contested histories. We present these factually, without taking sides, and honour each tradition's own sensitivities. Content about such places may be held to a stricter editorial bar.

Liability

Adisthan is provided free of charge and without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AdiDhara is not liable for losses arising from use of the directory, including travel undertaken in reliance on it.

Privacy

How we treat your data is set out in the privacy policy, whose first promises (no ads, no selling of devotee data) are permanent.
