Privacy

Your seeking is your own. We keep it that way.

Adisthan is a free, community-kept directory of sacred places, operated by AdiDhara. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, and the promises we make. If anything here is unclear, write to i@ec.im.

Our promises, first

What we collect, and why

Where your data lives

On Amazon Web Services in London (eu-west-2), with encrypted storage and 7-day backups. Sign-in and notification emails are delivered by Resend. These providers process data on our instructions and nothing more.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or erase it. You can delete your account yourself from account settings: deletion is immediate and removes your account, sessions, and saved places; contributions already published on a page remain part of the page's history but are no longer linked to you. If you are in the UK or EU, these are your GDPR rights and we honour them without friction.

Retention

Accounts live until you delete them. Review-queue items (suggestions, claims, inquiries) are kept while relevant to the running of the directory and pruned when no longer needed. Backups roll off after 7 days.

Children

Adisthan is a general-audience directory and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it, and material changes will be noted plainly. The promises in the first section do not change.
