The birth-star festival of Rajendra Chola I, celebrated by the Government of Tamil Nadu since 2022 on the Thiruvathirai star in the month of Aadi, with Carnatic music and therukoothu street theatre filling the Temple grounds. Official programme dates follow the panchang star date.
