First Incense Offering, Lunar New Year

On the last night of the lunar year the Temple reopens in the evening and the presiding Taoist priest leads the offering of the year's first incense toward midnight, with drums and bells; the earlier the incense, the greater the year's luck. The Temple stays open through the night.
