Shikinen Sengu (63rd)
The complete rebuilding of the sanctuary every twenty years and the transfer of the kami to the new palace, performed 62 times since 690. The 63rd culminates in 2033; in 2026 the public Okihiki festivals carry the new hinoki logs to the shrines.
