The Char Dham of the Himalaya
The four Himalayan abodes of Uttarakhand, walked in the traditional order: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath. Pilgrims begin in the west and end at Badrinath, the seat of Vishnu. The route opens after the winter closure each spring; confirm opening dates before travel.
